My name is Mia Applegate and this is my first year at Gilbert Middle School! I graduated from Roger Williams University in 2020 and started my teaching career in Nashville, TN, where I taught for two years as a high school biology teacher. After moving to Massachusetts, I taught as a special education teacher for two years. My family and I recently relocated to South Carolina for my husband’s job and to be close to his family. In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, my two year old daughter, Haven, and my dog, Emmy! I can’t wait to begin this new chapter at GMS!
