Dà jiā hǎo! My name is Yuxin Wang. This is the second year I teach Mandarin Chinese both in Meadow Glen Middle School and River Bluff High School. However this is my eleventh year working for Lexington One School district.Prior to this job, I had taught in International Schools of Beijing, and in South Korea. I have also tought in Richland County School District One before teaching in South Korea and joining Lexington Country School District One. I have learned to embrace different cultures through teaching in different countries and places. I understand each student is a unique individual and talented learner, who needs to be engaged and supported in different ways. I am National Board certified in teaching English as a New Language-Early Adolescence through Young Adulthood/English Development Specialist. I value curiosity and tenacity in learning, because curiosity leads us to becoming life-long learners, and tenacity leads us to embracing the challenges in our careers and in our lives. I hope curiosity and tenacity will help my students continue their learning journey as well. In my spare time, I like to workout in gyms, meet friends, and travel around the world, to learn and experience different cultures.
