Kendra Kunze
Hello! My name is Kendra Kunze and this is my fourth year at Midway! My family and I moved to South Carolina a few summers ago and we have enjoyed making it our new home! Leading up to this, I lived in Colorado, where I received my B.S. in Elementary Education, and my M.Ed. in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, and taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades for 6 ½ years. In my free time, I love reading, playing games, watching sports, and crafting. On weekends you can find me enjoying family time at the lake, the beach, sightseeing, or watching my daughter, Tommie, play softball!

Hello Mustangs! I am so excited to start another year at Midway. I grew up in Alabama but have lived in South Carolina for 21 years. I live in Lexington, with my husband Scott and 2 daughters, who are in 11th grade at Lexington High School and 7th grade at Pleasant Hill. We spend a lot of time at ball fields for our children but when I have free time I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time at the beach. I look forward to a great year!

My name is Lauren Stuckey, and I am so excited to begin my thirteenth year in education here at Midway! I graduated from the University of South Carolina, and I am a huge Gamecock fan! Although we are not military, my family has had the opportunity to move quite a bit the last twelve years. I have had the opportunity to teach many different grade levels and work with some amazing educators! It was a fabulous experience, but we are so happy to be home in Lexington, South Carolina!

I have been teaching since 2015. I love 4th grade and especially Math and Science, which is great because it's my focus! I live in Cayce with my two darling cats, Little Gray and ButtButt. I am an active participant of STEAM in the Parks which is part of Expeditions in Education. In the summer of 2022, I went to New River Gorge National Park & Preserve, then in 2023 I got to experience a week at Cumberland Island National Seashore in south Georgia. I love bringing math and science to life with real life skills that can also incorporate the natural world around us.

I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade ELA at Midway this year! I received my bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina, and my Masters in Reading from Grand Canyon University. I have 4 years of experience teaching in Lexington District One. This past year, I took a year off of teaching to work with a student organization at USC and spent the summer traveling in Western Europe. In my free time, I love to travel, cheer on the gamecocks and hangout at the lake.
