Advisory Councils
-
For students in Lexington County School District One, learning goes beyond the classroom. It takes collaboration between parents, teachers, district staff, and students themselves to shape the innovative educational opportunities that Lexington One is known for.
Advisory councils are beneficial to both district administrators and the groups the councils represent. Not only do these councils provide valuable feedback to district administrators on proposed changes, but they allow their members to have a voice in shaping Lexington One’s future.
Currently, there are five different advisory councils:
- District Office Advisory Council
- Parent Advisory Council
- Student Advisory Council
- Support Staff Advisory Council
- Teacher Advisory Council
Members of these councils volunteer their time to help continue to make Lexington One one of the state’s most innovative, creative, and collaborative school districts.
