Mrs. Hannah Lea
Choral Director and Musical Theatre Teacher
Hannah Lea is the Director of the Choral Program at Lakeside Middle School. She also has the privilege of team-teaching with our amazing Musical Theatre team. Mrs. Lea has been teaching music since 2011. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Presbyterian College in Music Education and a Master of Music Education degree from the University of South Carolina in Choral Music Education. Mrs. Lea firmly believes every child should have an equitable opportunity to learn music, build their skills, and opportunities for exposure to a variety of styles and cultures. Music is the universal language and an accessible, creative way to learn important life skills beyond the classroom!
Outside of her work at Lakeside, Mrs. Lea sings in several choirs in the Columbia area. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy getting away to the lake and mountains or hanging out on the screen porch with their dogs and cats. They are excited to welcome a baby boy to their family in the fall!
It's great to be a Raider and work with the best teachers and students around!
