My name is Tamika Del Valle, and I am excited to start a full year as an MLP teacher at the Knoll.  I was born and raised in Chicago, where I spent 14 years teaching in an elementary school.  I spent time in all grades, Pre-K to 6th, as a classroom teacher.  I began my SC teaching career in Sumter before coming to LEX 1. I taught first grade for 5 years at the Knoll, then I transitioned into the MLP role and became the MLP (ESOL) teacher at LTC, AES, TCC, CSMS, LOOLA, and GES. 

I am Puerto Rican, Mexican, and Native American. Although I am not fluent in Spanish, I am learning. I married my best friend of 25 years, and together, we have 4 grown children. I am blessed to be a Lela (short for Abuela). Although teaching is my greatest passion, I enjoy spending time with my church family and friends. I have a Master's degree plus several additional certifications. I love teaching, learning, and growing.
