Collaborative planning day change for elementary

Dear Parents and Guardians of Elementary Students:

We’re sharing information about a small change to upcoming Collaborative Planning Days including the one set for Wednesday, Oct. 6.

Elementary schools will now dismiss at 11:20 a.m. rather than 11:40 a.m. for all collaborative planning days for the 2021–2022 school year, including the following dates.

  • Wednesday, October 6, 2021

  • Wednesday, November 10, 2021

  • Wednesday, February 9, 2022

  • Wednesday, March 9, 2022

We chose to slightly adjust dismissal to allow more time for our buses to run the elementary routes before picking up the middle school students, which will hopefully decrease delays for the older students.

By dismissing elementary schools a little earlier, we also hope to ease the traffic around the campuses where the elementary and secondary schools are close to each other.

Again, dismissal for elementary schools will now be at 11:20 a.m. for Collaborative Planning Days.

Lunch will still be served.

This change does not impact secondary schools. Middle schools will still dismiss at 12:10 p.m., and high schools will still dismiss at 12:40 p.m.

Thanks for your understanding.
