08-02-2021 — Elementary online learning option

Because COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Lexington County and state mandates limit our safety mitigation strategies, some parents are asking about 100% online learning options for elementary students.

Lexington County School District One will now offer an option for online learning for kindergarten through fifth grade students if there is sufficient interest.

Beginning today, parents and guardians of elementary students may enroll their student in the Lexington One Online Learning Academy (LOOLA) using this form.

You have until Friday, August 6, at 5 p.m. to complete the form.

We apologize for this short timeframe, but we must know your choice quickly so we can staff the online classrooms and prepare the teachers, staff and students before the first day of school.

As you make your decision, please remember a few things.

  • Your choice is for the semester. For example, if you choose online learning, you must remain in LOOLA until January.
  • Immersion is not offered through LOOLA.
  • Related arts instruction, including physical education, music and art, will be limited at the elementary level.
  • Your student may have a teacher and classmates from a school other than your zoned school.

Again, to enroll your elementary students in 100% online learning for Fall 2021, you must complete this form by Friday, August 6.

You must also complete the separate registration process, using your snapcode, this week.
