Lexington District One hires new CSMS assistant principal

On July 19, 2022, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees approved the hiring of William F. Estes as assistant principal of Carolina Springs Middle School.

Estes joins CSMS after serving as the assistant principal of Crayton Middle School in Richland County School District One, a position he has held since 2019. An experienced educator, Estes is no stranger to Lexington District One and the White Knoll community — he taught social studies at White Knoll High School from 2010–19 and served as a varsity football and lacrosse coach, head DECA adviser and EF Tour Leader.

He earned bachelor’s degree in history and two master’s degrees — one in social studies and another in administration from University of South Carolina. Estes is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational foundations and inquiry from the university.

A member of the Lexington One Aspiring Administrator Cohort in 2018, Estes also participated in the Stanford University SPICE Summer Program in Korean Studies, the Hiroshima Peace Foundation and Educator Tour, and National Consortium for Teaching About Asia member and Cultural Exchange Trip participant. He is also a Japan Society Educator.
