I am Kyle Meetze and I am so excited to be the principal at Gilbert Middle School! I am originally from Lexington, SC. I started my teaching career in Richland School District Two in 2004 as a middle school science teacher. I had the opportunity to serve as a lead teacher for a single-gender magnet program in Richland 2 from 2007-2013, earning National Board Certification in 2011. I moved back home to Lexington County School District One in 2013 as a dean of character and academic development at Meadow Glen Middle School. When not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and outdoor activities like camping and hiking. 

Hello, my name is Bucky Stroud and I am excited about the opportunity to serve the students and staff at Gilbert Middle School.  I began my career in my hometown of Swansea (Lexington 4) and was hired in Lexington I in 2017.  I am entering my 24th year in education and during that time, I have served as a teacher, Department Chair, Head Football Coach, Athletic Director, CTE Director, and Assistant Principal at the Elementary, Middle, High, and Alternative School levels. I most recently served our LOOLA students and teachers.  I am married to Dani Stroud (science teacher at GHS) and have two sons Jake (8th grade at GMS) and Will (11th grade at GHS). My interests include watching college football, traveling with family, exercising, and I’m an avid sportsman.
