My name is Ryan Miles and I will be teaching South Carolina/US History in 8th grade this year! This will begin my eleventh year teaching across all three middle school grade levels for Social Studies and Geography. History is a passion of mine and I love living in a state that provides so many opportunities to explore where and what we are actually studying in class. I am looking forward to a great transition year to high school!

Outside of the classroom, I also serve as Meadow Glen's Athletic director and I am an assistant coach with our football team. I also help facilitate our Fellowship of Christian athletes huddle on campus that meets on Fridays. I love to try and support students any way I can by attending games and performances as opportunities present themselves.

I have a wife, Miranda, who is a 5K teacher at Lexington Elementary and three children; Noah (9), Eli (6) and Taylor (11 months). My faith is important to me and I serve as a deacon at my local church and volunteer with the children's' ministry often. I enjoy being outdoors, kayaking, fishing, traveling, reading, thrifting and spending time with family and in historic places.
