Ms. King grew up in Texas and received her undergraduate degree from LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. After a career on Capitol Hill and lobbying for a variety of clients in Washington, DC, Ms. King "retired" to stay home with her children, Caleb and Frawley Grace, who are now aged 22 and 18. Caleb is a senior at the University of South Carolina and Frawley is a freshman at Texas Christian University. Ms. King joined the MGMS staff in spring 2022 when she served as a long-term substitute for Mrs. Huey-Clowney's 7th grade social studies class. Ms. King worked at the front desk in the fall of 2022 but missed the classroom and returned to teach 7th and 8th grade Science in the spring of 2023. She is excited to be back in 8th grade this year.
