Mrs. Melody Shafer is the iCivics teacher at MGMS. She is a graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior/Environmental Design. Her teaching credentials include teacher certification through Indiana Wesleyan University, a Master of Science in Education from Walden University, Franklin Covey facilitator, and a National Board Certified Educator in Health Education. She enjoys infusing iCivics with health and wellness components to prepare students to be healthy, and participatory members of society.

Mrs. Shafer’s favorite activities include piano, reading, running, walking, hiking, mountain biking, enjoying time with friends and family!
