Mr. Harmon is an Outdoor Education Teacher at Meadow Glen Middle School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Level Education with a focus on Science from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Harmon began his teaching career in Lexington School District One, where he spent five years instructing 6th grade science, including four years at Lexington Middle School. Since the opening of Meadow Glen Middle School in 2012, he has been a member of the teaching faculty.

In 2011, Mr. Harmon earned a Master’s degree in Education from Columbia College and achieved National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Science. In 2013, he played a key role in developing the Outdoor Education curriculum for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, a course he currently teaches.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Harmon enjoys spending quality time with his wife, daughter, son, and dog. He is enthusiastic about sharing his passion for the natural world with his students and is deeply committed to outdoor activities and education.
