GED Preparation and Testing

  • Passing the GED testGED Program is a way to earn a secondary school credential without graduating from a traditional high school. The GED is a seven-and-a-half hour exam with four separate test sections that measure knowledge and skills expected of high school graduates. South Carolina does not require that GED candidates take a prep course before sitting down to take the test.

However, enrolling in a preparatory course can help familiarize you with what is on the test, the types of questions you will be asked, and the computer format used for the GED. Additionally, a prep course might help you increase your scores. In our GED Prep classes, we identify what skills you already have, what skills you need to work on, and which you test taking skills you might need to develop in order to alleviate any anxieties you may have.
