How to Register to Take the GED Test

How do I schedule to take the GED test?
All test scheduling must be done online at www.GED.com. You must have an account* at www.GED.com in order to schedule a test. Follow the steps below:
- Log in to your account
- Click "Schedule Test."
- Follow the prompts to find a date, time, and center.

There are four sections:
- Reasoning Through Language Arts (150 min)
- Mathematical Reasoning (115 min)
- Science (90 min)
- Social Studies (75 min).
A passing score is 145. You do not need to take all sections on the same day. Once you pass a section, there is no need to retake it.
Each section costs $37.50, and retakes cost $17.50. You will need a debit/credit card to schedule your test.
How old do I need to be to take the test?
You must be 19 years old to test in South Carolina.
I’m underage. What do I need to do to take the test?
GED® applicants under the age of 19, and any applicant 19 or over who has been enrolled in a South Carolina school during the current school year must complete this form and submit it to the GED® Testing Office.
