    About Nurse Wright

My name is Susan Wright. I am the Meadow Glen Middle School School Nurse. I graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1993 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. I am in my fourth year as the nurse for MGM. Being a part of the Gator family is a true blessing and I feel like I learn something new everyday. I have previous experience in the district as a school nurse and have had experience in a pediatric office as well as home health. I have been happily married for 30 years to John who is retired from the military and works now doing plans and operations at Fort Jackson. It has been a grand adventure being a military spouse for 23 years. Our active duty military life afforded us many opportunities to live in many places to include living in Italy for three years. John and I have 2 children. Levi, our son, who is married to Meredith. Ginny is our daughter and our youngest. All three are previous Lex 1 students with Ginny having been an MGM Gator while both Levi and Ginny being previous RBHS Gators. Levi is in law school at the University of South Carolina while Meredith is an Occupational Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Facility. Ginny is a social worker at Richland Hospital's NICU Department. I have a love/hate relationship with running but I do love spending time exercising with my FiA sisters. I enjoy traveling and exploring as well as being outside (when it is not in the South Carolina hot humid summers). I am a member at Lexington Baptist Church. Serving with Samaritan's Purse in their Disaster Relief ministry is something my husband and I enjoy doing together as well. I look forward to getting to know the students and families of MGM each year. They bring me joy and I strive to serve them well in their journey in the middle school years.
