7th Grade English Language Arts Teacher

Ms. Kim Dunbar brings experience and dedication to her role as a 7th Grade ELA teacher at Lakeside Middle School. Her educational journey began in 2007 with Lexington School District 4, where she honed her skills with students in various grade levels. In 2018, she returned to her home district, Lexington One, first serving the Pelion community before joining the Lakeside Middle School family in 2022.

A proud Lexington native, Ms. Dunbar is a graduate of Lexington Elementary, the former Lexington Middle, and Lexington High. This deep connection to the community fuels her passion for fostering a love of learning in the next generation of Lexington students.

Her role extends beyond the classroom, as she mentors and evaluates newer teachers, encouraging them in their educational endeavors. Ms. Dunbar firmly believes that every student has the potential to excel, and her mission is to provide the necessary support, tools, and differentiated instruction to empower each individual learner.
