Ms. Hollie Hogan
English Language Arts Teacher
Over the years, Mrs. Hogan has taught English Language Arts and Writing in five different states, including South Carolina. She began teaching in Lexington One after moving from Alabama in 2018. Mrs. Hogan is proud to join the Lakeside team! Go Raiders!
Mrs. Hogan will be teaching 6th and 7th grade ELA. She has a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction as a Reading Specialist from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education, with a certification in Special Education. She is a "Read to Succeed" certified teacher. She also holds a certification in "Gifted & Talented." Her passion is finding the "just right" book for each student, to instill the true joy of reading!
Mrs. Hogan enjoys time spent with family; she has a daughter who is in the sixth grade and a son who is in fourth grade. When she's not in the classroom, you can find her at the baseball field or volleyball court, reading historical fiction, relaxing on the lake, or spoiling her scottish terrier, Smith.
