Suzanne Keller

Social Studies Teacher

6th Grade House Leader

Suzanne Keller is excited about the new school year and eager to embark on adventures in Social Studies.

Mrs. Keller began her teaching career in 2001 at Weddington Middle School, located outside Charlotte, North Carolina. There, she taught 6th-grade Social Studies for three years before relocating to Columbia, South Carolina.

Upon moving to Columbia in 2004, she was hired at White Knoll Middle School, where she taught for 18 years. During her tenure at White Knoll, Mrs. Keller taught 6th, 7th, and one year of 8th grade. She actively contributed to different grade levels and served as department chair for Social Studies. In 2022, she joined Lakeside Middle School.

Mrs. Keller loves teaching middle school because each day brings something new. Her favorite aspect of teaching is getting to know her students and appreciating their unique qualities. Her goal is to nurture each student's special abilities and guide them in making good choices. She also enjoys teaching history and bringing it to life for her students. She is looking forward to the new adventures of the 2024-2025 school year.

Outside of teaching, Mrs. Keller enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks, and reading books. Her child is starting high school this fall, and they enjoy shopping together. Mrs. Keller also cherishes time with her husband and loves boating on the lake.
