Math Department Head

She has been happily married 26 years to Jason. She is a loving mother of 3 children. Jed is 24, getting married in October, and works for Scout Motors. Morgan is 21 and is an event planner for Spring Valley Country Club.  Kaydee is a Senior at Blythewood High School with plans to work in the Forensic Science Field. 

She joined the Lexington Community in 2003 when she was hired for a math position at Lexington Middle School. She recently helped open Lakeside Middle in 2022 and is our current Math Department Head.

Her philosophy in teaching math is to encourage students to "make mistakes, as they are proof that you are learning." Her favorite things are Reese’s cups, sushi, the beach, and new ideas.

She is a highly qualified educator in Mathematics and has numerous certifications. She received her National Board Early Adolescent Mathematics certification in 2003, 2013, and 2023, an Elementary Education degree from Clemson University in 1995, the Middle Level Mathematics Certification, the Gifted and Talented Certification, the Inclusion Math Endorsement, the Mentor Training Endorsement, and the Read to Succeed Certification.
