Musical Theatre Director and Drama/Theatre Teacher

Sarah Kate Calcutt started teaching theatre in 2014 at Lexington Middle School and opened Lakeside Middle in 2022. She is proud of the theatre department she has grown and cultivated and is honored to be part of the beautiful musical theatre department. She is a member of the Crew Design Team where she helps create curriculum. When it comes to her classroom, Ms. Calcutt has an open-door policy. She wants you to feel welcome and safe to be your authentic self. She is so excited for an amazing year at Lakeside and can't wait to see what shows up on our stage this year!

You can find Ms. Calcutt snuggling with her sweet nephew, Malakai, family, and friends when she is not teaching. She enjoys a good football game and women's basketball game (Go Gamecocks!), Saturday mornings at Soda City, taking trips, baking, and hanging out on her couch. Her favorite things include Diet Coke, elephants, all things that sparkle, and peanut butter.
