Band Director

Welcome to the Raider Band! Mrs. Kayla Yost joined us as the Director of Bands during the 23-24 school year, and she is excited for her second year at Lakeside. Mrs. Yosts’s favorite part of middle school band is teaching students how to play their instruments, and she loves seeing the progress students make over the course of the year!

Mrs. Yost graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.M.Ed. in Instrumental Music. Mrs. Yost has taught band and instrument lessons in South Carolina, New York, and Germany. In her spare time she loves to read, play video games, and crochet. Her husband, Andrew, is a percussionist in the Army, and they have a Husky named Tchaikovsky.
