Ying-Chen Lin
7th Grade Science Teacher
Science Department Head
Ying-Chen Lin is a 7th-grade science teacher and currently serves as the science department chair at Lakeside Middle School. Prior to his journey at Lakeside, he taught 6th and 7th-grade science at Meadow Glen Middle and served as a Digital Learning Coach at River Bluff High School. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College, where he received his bachelor's degree in Middle-Level Education. He also holds a master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Media from Columbia University's Teachers College.
Mr. Lin's passion lies at the intersection of the science of learning, the art of teaching, and the design and integration of technology for human development. He is constantly exploring ways to support student learning and teacher pedagogy.
Beyond work, he enjoys traveling, exploring new food spots, and cheering for the Gamecocks!
