My Professional Passions & Strengths
Teaching is a passion of mine! Within our classroom, students experience the power of connection and perseverance. I hope each student leaves desiring knowledge. I hope they are gracious and giving. I hope they know they are valuable and can make a difference. I hope they know I genuinely care for them. I also hope they believe in the power they have within themselves as well and remember the words of children’s author, Patricia Polacco, “You were born with the power to change others. You can change people by the way you treat them. That is what changes the human heart.”
My Personal Passions
My husband, Steve, and I reside in Lexington. Our daughter, Allie, is a sophomore at the University of South Carolina. Our son, Jacob, is a senior at Glenforest School. I love spending time with family and friends. I also have several four legged critters at home! Our dogs love to greet our guests with a round of barking, and our cat loves to cozy up on anyone’s lap to take a nap!
