Mr. Ryan Kingsland
I moved to South Carolina in 2006, where I taught at North Middle/High for two years. In 2008, I was hired at White Knoll Elementary. Each year, I learn to become versed in teacher best practices with physical standards and implementation.
Teaching elementary school allows me to be a big kid myself. I love to dance, laugh, sing (even though I’m bad at it), and express my love for physical education in each and every class. Within my teaching, I promote activities all children may use throughout their lifetime to keep them healthy.
I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful children: two girls, ages 14 and 11, and a son, who is 4 years old. My wife is a teacher and loves ice cream. My oldest daughter loves to sing and participate in drama. My middle child plays soccer, and my youngest seems to be following in his father’s footsteps with his athletic abilities.
Before moving to South Carolina in 2006, I grew up in Buffalo, NY. In NY, I played and refereed volleyball throughout high school and college and on men’s teams after college. Currently, I am a referee at the high school, club, and college levels. Playing and reffing volleyball has given me the opportunity to travel all over the United States and will always be a passion in my life.
In my free time, I run a corn hole business and love to play the game. I am also a handyman around the house, painting, building fences and decks, masonry work, and anything to improve my house.
Growing up in Buffalo, NY, I am a huge Buffalo Bills fan, GO BILLS! Moving to Lexington, I have also become a Gamecocks fan, GO COCKS!
