Ms. Teresa Koehler

My name is Te Koehler, and I am thrilled to be joining the White Knoll Elementary family as your art teacher this year. My diverse work experience has given me a unique perspective and a deep passion for teaching and child advocacy.

I have had the opportunity to explore various fields, from selling muscadines out the back of a truck to working in advertising and even serving as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem. My journey has included roles such as Editor and advertising professional, Bank and airport courier, Office supply sales, Pharmacy technician, Retail store manager trainer, Construction business and furniture store owner, Artist/metal sculptor blacksmith & instructor, Children’s ministry work, and Youth mentor at the Art Museum. These experiences have all contributed to my development as a passionate teacher and advocate for children. This will be my 15th year in education, having taught K-12 art at all grade levels, middle-level core subjects, and virtual school art.

Outside of work, I love to explore and try new things. I cherish spending time with my wonderful husband, Clayton, and my granddaughter, Winter, who, at 19 months old, brings immense joy to my life. I am also a proud parent of two grown-married children: Winston (22) & Kay and Taba (38) & Rob. Despite the unconventional approach of letting them make their own rules, they turned out to be amazing individuals. I am extremely excited to return to my community and look forward to a fantastic school year at White Knoll Elementary. Let's create amazing art together!
