My name is Karen Leonhardt but most people at SGE know me as Nurse Karen. I am starting my 25 year as the school nurse, and have been a nurse for 38 years now. Most of my experience has been in Pediatrics. I have worked in the hospital, Dr. offices, and Home Health before becoming a school nurse. I received my nursing degree from Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL in 1984. I am also a certified CPR instructor for the District. ​My husband Charles and I have been married for 38 years, and have 3 grown children, 2 grandsons, and a granddaughter on the way. I enjoy playing with my grandchildren, baking, sewing, gardening and working in my church. 

Hi, I am Lindy Roland, and I am excited about starting my tenth year here at Saxe Gotha. I will be starting my eighth year in the health room as Nurse Karen's assistant. I am a CNA, and I also have my BLS certification. I love my job and the staff here as we are considered family. I thoroughly enjoy being able to help take care of the students and see their smiling faces as they enter every morning. I have been married to my husband Gary going on thirty-three years. We have two beautiful daughters, Kayla who is thirty and LeAnn who is twenty-five. We have a son-in-law Kyle and a soon-to-be son-in law Alex. We also have two grandsons, Aiden, aged seven, and Andrew, who is four . We love spending family time together and traveling as a family. I like watching hallmark movies, playing with the boys, shopping with my girls, riding the golf cart, and traveling to new places.
