Hola! My name is Jan Tinajero and this is year 12 for me as the teacher for Multilingual Learners (MLs) here at Saxe Gotha Elementary School! I graduated from North Greenville College in 1997 with my degree in Elementary Education. I received my Masters degree from the University of South Carolina and my ESOL Endorsement through College of Charleston. I have taught 1st grade, 6th grade ELA, served as an SCRI-MG Literacy Coach, and Multilingual Learners from kindergarten all the way through high school. When I am not teaching our Shining Stars, I have the joy of being an adjunct professor at Columbia College where I teach two of the Read to Succeed courses! I am married with two children and we love to camp, explore outdoors, watch movies and spend time with family.
