I am excited to be joining the 7th grade team here at BMS!  

Last year I received my 5-year pin at Beechwood. Although I enjoy teaching history and 6th graders, I have a passion for the study of geography.  I hold a certification in AP Human Geography and have experience teaching high school World Geography.  

I recently celebrated my 25th year of teaching in SC public schools!   I grew up attending Lexington School District 5 schools, where I graduated from Irmo High School.  Degrees: B.A. History and Political Science; MAT- Secondary Social Studies. 

My family and I enjoy traveling, hiking, and going to MLB ballparks around the country.  We also have traveled to Toronto, NYC, and Palm Springs,CA to watch ATP tennis. In the spring we traveled to Paris and London to enjoy the culture and history abroad.  This summer was about exploring Washington state and Canada!

This year will be an exciting experience as we explore people & places around the globe.
