Clay Kemerer
My name is Clay Kemerer and I teach 8th grade resource. I moved to Rock Hill, South Carolina in 2017 from New Castle, Pennsylvania where I grew up. I began my teaching career as a resource teacher in Chester County School District at Great Falls Elementary. I hold bachelor’s degrees in special education and early childhood education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. I also hold a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina. Outside of school, I enjoy working out, and cheering for my hometown Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, Penn State football, and the Charlotte Hornets! My wife and I have two boys, Easton (2) and Baker (8 months), who keep us on our toes, as well as a dog and 2 cats. We moved to Lexington in May 2019 and I began teaching at Beechwood when we first opened in August 2019. I have coached the Beechwood Basketball team since 2019. This year I am taking over as the special education department chair for BMS. I can’t wait for another fantastic year. Go Bengals!
