As part of the work session and business meeting on October 3, 2023, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees conducted the evaluation of Dr. Gerrita Postlewait, superintendent of Lexington One. The annual evaluation of the superintendent generally occurs in the fall in accordance with the contract between the superintendent and the board.

The board voted in public session to give Dr. Postlewait an overall extremely effective evaluation for the 2022-2023 school year based on the district’s progress under Dr. Postlewait’s leadership and considering board member comments regarding Dr. Postelwait’s job performance.

Following the announcement of the results of the evaluation, the board voted to amend the superintendent’s contract to provide for a salary of $234,500 in 2023-2024.

Board Chair Anne Marie Green thanked Dr. Postlewait for her leadership and shared that she is exactly who is needed in this role at this time as we work on moving students forward.
