Hello all! My name is Erica Bohnsack, and I am proud to say this is my 23rd year teaching. I was born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Elon University in 1999, and graduated with a Master of Education degree from Converse College in 2002. For the first fourteen years of my career, I taught in Rutherford County, NC. Most of my career there was spent teaching fourth and fifth grades. In 2014, my husband's job moved us to Lexington, SC. I immediately fell in love with Saxe Gotha Elementary because it reminded me so much of the school where I taught in North Carolina. This is my ninth year as a fourth grade teacher at Saxe Gotha. My husband, Bill, and I live in Lexington with our two sons (Luke and James) and our two beagles. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Most of my time out of school is spent watching Luke play baseball and basketball or watching James play basketball. I enjoy hiking in the mountains of my home state, North Carolina, going to the beach, and watching LSU football and UNC Chapel Hill basketball. Geaux Tigers and Go Heels! Teaching is not just my job. Hello! My name is Beth Carter, and I'm excited to say this is my 16th year teaching. I grew up here in Lexington, SC and graduated from Clemson University in 1994. I earned a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and I am continuing my studies through the Master of Education Program at Converse University. I began my teaching career at White Knoll Elementary, teaching 5th and 3rd grades. I joined the staff here at SGE in 2017 as a 4th grade teacher. Currently, I live in Lexington with my husband, Rob, and our son, Alex. I enjoy reading, working in the yard, exercising, and spending time with my family.

Hi. My name is Tyler Garrett, 4th grade math and science teacher here at SGE. This marks the beginning of my 5th year here at SGE. I spent my teenage years in Fort Mill, SC but I am originally from just outside of Orlando, FL. I graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2006 and a Master's degree in Teaching in 2007. I began teaching in Richland2. I am a resident of Lexington with my wife Jessica, and two sons Griffin, and Wesley. When I have time to spare my usual activities are personal training my clients, golfing, snowboarding, getting outside, playing guitar, and enjoying silence (lol, but for real, yes).

Greetings! My name is Christine Joy, and I'm thrilled to say this is my 15th year teaching elementary school. I grew up in Aiken, SC and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education degree from Anderson University in 2009. I began my teaching career in the Lexington/Richland 5 School District. I taught ten years in this district before moving to Lexington 1. This year, I will be teaching 4th grade at Saxe Gotha. Currently, I live in Lexington with my husband, Nolan, and two boys (Lucas and Eli). I enjoy remodeling my house, camping, reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
