¡Hola! I’m Señora Garcia, I’m from Bogotá (Colombia), and I’m thrilled to be part of this amazing Bengal family!
I teach Spanish 1 and Connections Spanish for 6th and 7th grade. I came to the U.S. with an international program several years ago, and I have enjoyed teaching at the middle and high school levels in SC. I hold a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a foreign language from Universidad de Madrid - Spain and a Master's degree in Teaching English as a second language from Universidad de Jaén – Spain. I have a deep knowledge of my language and culture, I have been teaching for several years and I strongly believe that studying a foreign language is a great opportunity to learn about different cultures that help us see the world in a wider way. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my family, my two amazing kids, Santiago and Isabella, and my husband who is also a Spanish teacher. We try to travel every summer to Colombia and create great memories since all our family lives there.
I’m looking forward to an amazing year!
Go Bengals!
