Aletha Corley

My name is Aletha Corley.  I’ve been teaching Special Education for 28 years in Lexington School District One.  Prior to becoming a special education teacher, I was an instructional assistant for four years.  I’ve taught all ages from preschool to high school.  Previously, I taught Preschool at Lake Murray Elementary School for four years.  I have experience with all ability levels.  I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jay Corley, and we have two grown boys Daniel (26) and Jonathan (23).  I grew up in Lexington and attended Lexington One Schools.  I enjoy taking care of my dog (Max), two cats (Sir Purr and Striped Kitty), fish and of course my house plants.  I love running and most anything outdoors.

Michelle Smith, Assistant

Hello Midway Mustangs! My name is Michelle Smith. I have an associate’s degree in early care and education from Trident Technical College.  I have spent 4 years with Alphabest. I am excited to be returning to the 3k classroom. I am married with 3 children and 2 dogs. I enjoy the outdoors, I love dolphins, and I like to travel. When I was a teenager, I moved from West Virginia to South Carolina, and I love living here.  I am looking forward to a great school year! Let's go Mustangs!

Jennifer Uhl, Assistant

Hello, Midway Mustangs! My name is Jennifer Uhl (pronounced yule), and I am happy to be returning as an instructional assistant in 3K. I have been an educator for over two decades. I am a certified elementary teacher and school administrator. I am married and have a 5th grader at Midway, 6th grader at Lakeside, and three bonus kids in 4th, 6th, and 8th grade. In my free time, I love to be outside, especially when it's warm and sunny! I also love listening to music, reading, baking, and spending time with my family and pets. I look forward to a great year at Midway!
