Lexington One Board of Trustees holds meeting on June 13, 2023

LEXINGTON, S.C. — On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees holds a public hearing for the 2023–24 Proposed General Fund Operating Budget, third reading of the budget and its regular monthly board meeting in the auditorium of Building One at Lexington One Central Services located at 100 Tarrar Springs Road in Lexington, South Carolina.

The Board of Trustees will conduct a public hearing at 5 p.m. to receive comments from the community on the 2023–24 Proposed General Fund Operating Budget. During the public hearing, citizens will be able to address the Board regarding the budget only. There will be another Citizens' Participation during the regular meeting to address any other items as permitted by Citizens' Participation guidelines.

Upon conclusion of the public hearing, the board will promptly vote to enter executive session to review employment recommendations and other personnel matters and to receive legal advice in the matter of the SC Freedom Caucus vs. Lexington County School District One. The Board of Trustees will resume the public portion of its meeting upon conclusion of executive session, but no earlier than 6 p.m.

Citizens wishing to address the Board of Trustees during citizens’ participation — either for the public hearing or regular meeting — must sign up to speak. Sign-up opens at 4:30 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. for the Public Hearing and 6 p.m. for Citizen’s Participation during the regular meeting. You must be present to sign up to speak.

After the meeting, the district will post a video of the meeting to its YouTube channel and its website.
