Beechwood Middle School students achieve legislative victory
Students champion law recognizing middle-level education month

LEXINGTON, S.C. — The Beechwood Middle School Constitution Club is celebrating a remarkable achievement – the passage of a bill they championed last year officially designating March as Middle-Level Education Month in South Carolina.

To commemorate this success, Representative Paula Calhoon will visit Beechwood Middle School on Monday, March 25, at 4:15 p.m., to present the club, led by teacher Jason McCullough, with a copy of the signed law. Beechwood Middle is located at 1340 Highway #378 in Lexington.

This law recognizes the critical role middle-level education plays in student success. The Beechwood Middle School Constitution Club's initiative demonstrates the power of student engagement in the legislative process.
